May 28, 2012  I use a corona mill. It works well for the money, I get 80% efficency and no stuck sparges. I did have to do some dialing in. You can adjust the crush, there is a screw to adjust how close the plates come together. basically, the grain coming out of the auger pushes the outer plate out, the screw controls how far out it is allowed.

5 years ago. When I got my Corona mill, I bought 3kg of pils malt and did a few tests with efficiency before doing a full batch. The first test was 500g of pils malt, use a credit card to set the gap width, mill it, mash it, measure. Decrease the gap, repeat. I do BIAB so I eventually just got it to almost flour and do my calculations off that.
